This is what makes the seat « pop » in the cockpit. Use a fine detail brush (0/0 or 000).
Ejection Pull Handle (Yellow & Black Stripes):
Base coat in flat white first, then paint Flat Yellow (Tamiya XF-3 / Mr. Hobby H4). Use a very fine brush or a black fine-liner pen to paint the Flat Black (Tamiya XF-1) stripes.
Emergency Oxygen Ring (Right Side):
Flat Green (Tamiya XF-5 / Mr. Hobby H6).
Survival Kit Deployment Handle (Left Side):
Flat White (Tamiya XF-2) or bright Flat Red (Tamiya XF-7 / Mr. Hobby H3).
Weathering Steps for Realism
Gloss Coat: Spray a clear gloss coat (Tamiya X-22 or Mr. Hobby GX100) to protect the base paint and prepare for washing.
Pin Wash: Apply a dark brown or black enamel wash (Ammo by Mig – PLW Deep Brown or Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color Black/Brown) into the recesses around the cushions, rivets, and harnesses. Clean up the excess with an odorless enamel thinner.
Matte Coat: Spray a flat clear coat (Tamiya XF-86 or Mr. Hobby H20) to remove the gloss sheen and give the fabric parts a realistic texture.
Dry Brushing: Lightly dry-brush the edges of the gray metal frame with a lighter gray (Tamiya XF-19) or a silver pencil to simulate worn paint and bare metal friction.
