To make your M142 HIMARS model look truly realistic, weve created highly accurate wheel sets!
M142 HIMARS is one of the most recognized modern artillery systems, known for its precision strikes and mobility. Weve developed four wheel set variations in 1/72 scale to help bring scale models of the HIMARS closer to their real-life counterpart:
- WM 72002Ordinary Wheel Set without CTIS.
- WM 72002SSagged Wheel Set without CTIS.
- WM 72003Ordinary Wheel Set with CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System)
- WM 72003S Sagged Wheel Set with CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System)
In developing these sets, we studied countless reference photos, videos, and field samples to accurately reproduce the tread pattern, sidewall shapes, tire sag under weight, and even subtle technical features. As a result, the sets cover varying levels of deformation.
3D printing enabled a level of detail simply not achievable with standard rubber tires included in typical kits. Once installed, these wheels give your model a convincing appearanceconveying the sense of weight, usage, and true scale.
These wheels arent just an accessorythey are a key detail that takes your HIMARS model to a whole new level of realism.
Wheels Installation
The wheels install without modification onto the standard mounting points of Foreart and Meng kits.
To install the wheels on the Foreart model, use the spacers from the set.
We recommend gently sanding the contact areas with fine-grit sandpaper to remove support marks.
Hollow Wheel Design
The wheels are hollow. For technical reasons, a small drainage hole is present, which is easily sealed with a special plug included with each wheel. The plug is located directly on the print platform behind the wheel.
